Being Part of the School
We encourage all our international students to be part of our school and share their expertise and talents. We have students perform on musical instruments or do traditional dances. And of course, join in with our groups and sports teams
Introducing Auralia
Auralia is an international student from South Korea. She loves skipping, listening to music (especially K-Pop), and our school. She also loves our large fields, our fresh air, and her homestay family.
She finds our bright sunlight challenging and is getting used to applying (and removing) sunscreen every day.
Auralia is missing her family and the variety of food available in Korea but is extremely pleased that her English has vastly improved.
Thank you, Auralia for getting so involved in CPS life. We will miss you but know you will keep in touch when you return home at the end of the year. Your skipping is amazing!!
Learning from our International Students
Our international students join us to experience a different culture and way of learning here in New Zealand. We also benefit from them sharing their culture with us as well.
A demonstration of the Guzheng, an ancient traditional Chinese zither, being played by one of our international students, complete with traditional costume, is an excellent example of this cultural sharing.
